I am going to CES this year. I haven't been since 2000. I can't say that I'm thrilled to go, but, I have to plug myself back into that scene again. So, I signed up and started receiving the daily spam. Today's spam previewed the much anticipated release of Internet on the TV. http://ces.cnet.com/…5-100.html
Ironically, that's exactly what I saw the last time I went to CES eight years ago. Amazing how far this event has regressed. I'm hoping someone brings back pen computing.

After 15 years of working in Silicon Valley, I'm starting to understand what Jeff Barco was telling me in 1998 -- "it's the same movie, just different actors". I thought that guy was talking about frustrating recurring meetings at WebTV. I now know he was talking about being involved in the whole WebTV effort.

I, for one, am going to stop by an see the future of TV, again.
